About Decorative Pillows

Anyone growing up in America in the eighties and nineties, is probably well aware of all the self-help/Do It Yourself genre of shows that popped up on cable television and PBS. Together with y family, we often enjoyed these shows--The Joy of Paining with Bob Ross, This Old House, Interior Motives with Christopher Lowell and The Christopher Lowell Show and others--and from these shows, my interest in interior design and creating inviting spaces within the home was formed. In my own home, I've pretty much followed the Christoper Lowell (there's that name again) model of 7 layers. You know, starting with the walls and flooring, then the furniture and stuff, fabrics like decorative pillows and things and finally accessories like vinyl wall quotes, interesting knick knacks--stuff like that. Now many years later, I have my own home and am in the position to try and apply my knowledge gleaned from years of television watching, hopefully with great results. This website is a diary of sorts of this adventure.
